Receptionist/Veterinary Assistant

Lyla

Lyla may be a bit indecisive, but if there’s one thing she’s sure of, it’s that her life is incomplete without helping animals. She has had an infatuation with animals of all kinds for as long as she can remember, taking every opportunity she could to help animals of all kinds and expand her knowledge about them. From dog sitting, to helping foster kittens, to caring for horses, pigs , cows, sheep, chickens and goats at a rescue barn for many years, Lyla has endless heartwarming stories of the intelligence, kindness, and humour that she has witnessed in animals big and small that she would love to share! Lyla has been in the veterinary industry since 2022 and will never look back! She loves her role in the QWAH family as it allows her to help animals and their people! Lyla is now studying Zoology at the University of Guelph and is planning on attending Veterinary School to continue her pursuit in improving the lives of animals and those who love them.  In her spare time, you can find her out hiking with her dog, horseback riding, spending time with friends and family , and enjoying a strong cup of coffee!
